Immaculate Conception Church Parish Pastoral Council
Mission Statement:
We, the Parish Pastoral Council, are a spiritual advisory body for the parish of Immaculate Conception Church. We prayerfully share our gifts, in collaboration with our pastor, to discern the goals that God has for our faith community. We serve together with the leaders in our parish to fulfill our goals.
As a parish pastoral council, we are a consultative body to the pastor, composed of members of the parish, who promote pastoral action through reflection and planning.
Our primary responsibility to the parish community is to:
1. |
Be in touch with its identity and its values. |
2. |
Articulate its vision/mission. |
3. |
Identify achievable goals. |
4. |
Facilitate communication between parishioner and pastor. |
5. |
Be aware and helpful to the pastor when asked to assist him. |
6. |
Foster stewardship among parishioners. |
7. |
Identify the pastoral and administrative needs of the parish and its parishioners. |
8. |
Be a consultant and advisor to the pastor. |
9. |
Build a more united parish community by pastoral planning. |
10. |
Be concerned with the spiritual care of the parish community. |
